You’re getting headaches.

You go to the doctor.

It turns out you have a fairly advanced society living in, and off of, your brain.

You suffer from City Head… now what?

CITY HEAD

Presented by emerging theatre company, Sticky Apple Legs, this is a world premiere. It is the first show ever to deal with the extremely rare condition of City Head through comedy, musical theatre and puppets… and lego… lots of lego.

A combination of puppetry, comedy and theatre, this show is written by Tom Taylor – winner of Short & Sweet Melbourne. A performance for everyone, City Head will be a great weekend snack at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for 2007.

Learn more about City Head.

This show was performed on: Sat – 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th April 2007 @ 4.45pm, Sun – 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th April 2007 @ 4.45pm, at the Evatt Room, Trades Hall.

City Head is the brain-child of Tom Taylor; he graciously gave us first use of his fantastic short play. Tom Taylor is an emerging playwright, who recently became a winner of the Short and Sweet Melbourne for his play, The Example. The play has now been performed in three different countries, and he currently has four plays and a musical in the shortlist for the next Short & Sweet. For more information, please visit his website at http://www.freewebs.com/cityhead. (Yeah, he used the title of this show for the title of his site!) competition for his play.

Naomi, the Technical Coordinator for Sticky Apple Legs, designed and made all the puppets by herself, as well as directed the performance. You can find out more about how Naomi made the puppets at http://thepromptcopy.com/pip. You can read the reviews of City Head here.
